TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS: POLYETHYLENE (3LPE) PIPE COATING LINE

1. GENERAL PIPE SPECIFICATIONS
- Application: External 3-Layer Polyethylene Coating (3LPE)
- Pipe Diameter Range: Ø508 mm ~ Ø3048 mm (20" - 120")
- Pipe Wall Thickness: 5 mm ~ 25 mm
- Pipe Length: 6 m ~ 13 m

2. STATION LIST & TECHNICAL DETAILS

2.1. External Shot Blasting Station
- Function: Surface preparation and cleaning (Target: SA 2.5 standard).
- Operation: The pipe rotates on the conveyor into the cabin. The turbine throws abrasives onto the pipe surface to remove rust and scale.
- Abrasive Recycling: Closed-loop system. Used abrasives are collected by the lower spiral, transferred to the elevator, separated from dust, and sent back to the upper storage for reuse.
- Conveyor Drive Power: 3 kW
- Transfer Mechanism: Automatic transfer via arms to the exit conveyor stand.

2.2. Heating & FBE Application (Paint Cabinet & Oven)
- Heating (Oven): Pre-heating of the pipe surface prior to coating application (typically via Induction Heating).
- Application (Cabinet): Powder paint application booth.
- Process: Electrostatic application of Fusion Bonded Epoxy (FBE) primer layer onto the heated steel surface.

2.3. Extrusion System (Coating Application)
- Type: Side extrusion wrapping method.
- Process: Raw material is melted in the barrel and extruded as a film strip, which is then wrapped spirally around the rotating pipe.
* Upper Shell: Adhesive Layer Application (Tie-layer).
* Lower Shell: Polyethylene (PE) Top Layer Application.
- Extruder Capacities:
* Extruder 1 (Main/PE): 1000 kg/hour
* Extruder 2 (Adhesive): 200 kg/hour
- Conveyor Drive Power: 3 kW

2.4. Cooling Section
- Method: Water Quench / Shower Cooling Tunnel.
- Function: Rapid cooling of the applied polyethylene coating to stabilize the material structure and harden the surface for handling.

2.5. Polyethylene Peelıng
- Function: Coating removal at pipe ends (Cutback) to prepare the steel surface for field welding.
- Operation: Mechanical shaving of the PE/Adhesive layers followed by wire brushing for a clean surface finish.
- Motor Power: 22 kW
- Target Pipe Range: Ø508 mm ~ Ø3048 mm

NOTE:

  • FLOOR BUILT-IN, CONCRETE, PLATE ARE NOT CONSIDERED. PROJECT WILL BE GIVEN.
  • ALL PRODUCTS TO BE USED ON THE FLOOR; RAILS, BOLT, NUT, SHEET AND SIMILAR PRODUCTS BELONG TO THE BUYER COMPANY.
  • AFTER THE SYSTEM HAS BEEN PUT INTO USE, THE SALARY OF THE REMAINING PERSONNEL BELONGS TO THE BUYER.
  • PROVIDING ELECTRICAL CABLES REQUIRED TO OPERATE 1200 KW TRANSFORMER, COMPENSATION AND THE MACHINE IS BUYER’S RESPONSIBILITY. 
  • THE ENERGY SUPPLY LINE (CABLES) OF THE MACHINE BELONGS TO THE CUSTOMER.CUSTOMER HAS TO PROVIDE THE REQUIRED ENERGY TO DISTRIBUTION BOARD.
  • ALL TRAVEL EXPENSES, INCLUDING FLIGHTS, ACCOMMODATION (MIN. 4-STAR HOTEL), LOCAL TRANSPORTATION, AND MEALS FOR THE INSTALLATION AND COMMISSIONING TEAM, ARE THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE BUYER..
  • THE BUYER COMPANY PROVIDES THE OILS TO BE USED IN THE HYDRAULIC SYSTEM.
  • THE BUYER COMPANY MUST PURCHASE THE OILS TO BE USED IN THE HYDRAULIC SYSTEM.
  • DUST COLLECTION SYSTEM AND DUST BUCKETS BELONG TO THE BUYER COMPANY.
  • THE BUYING COMPANY WILL PROVIDE AT LEAST 4 MECHANICAL MAINTENANCE EXPERTS, 1 WELDER AND 2 ELECTRICAL TECHNICIANS TO ASSIST THE INSTALLATION TEAM.
  • STAND (OPTIONAL)
  • EXCLUDING ALL STEEL MATERIAL IN CONTACT WITH THE GROUND CONCRETE.
